My Pa Bong host family

In order of seniority:
Po Tong: I made friends with the ex village chief!! Some background information on why he's called Po Tong. Tong is his son's name and since he's the father of Tong, 'Po' is a way of addressing him in regards to Tong. So his wife is called Mei Tong, aka Mother of Tong. Anyway, just look at his dazzling smile!! He's always smiling this widely and he has this loud booming voice, reminds me of my own dad.Mei Tong: Managed to capture her very cute smile!! This is her weaving the cloth; gosh I helped her to weave a few times and it's really quite tiring. Each line takes like around 3 seconds to complete so imagine how long it would take to weave an entire length of cloth. Respect. Since it's not harvesting season yet, Mei Tong is on this delicate handmade machine quite often.
A funny incident happened on the last few days when I was watching her cook in the kitchen! They had rats in cages so I pointed to the rats and asked when was it in Laosian languange and she told me. And I told her the English name in return. We started pointing to random parts of our body and teaching each other the names in our respective languages but she got mixed up and pointed to her own head saying 'rat' HAHAHA. When she realised her own mistake she couldn't stop laughing. So from then on everytime I saw her I would point to my own head and say 'rat' heh. DIFF LANG STILL CAN HAVE INSIDE JOKE LEH.
Si Mon: 24 years old but still young and pretty!! She's Don's mother and Tong's wife. She always teases me about Fong hahahahha she would be like "Jas Fong li???" (li means good/okay in Laos; bo li is the opposite). Even from far when she sees me she'll gesture to him and nod her head and then I'll start chasing her hahahaha she's damn retarded. Regret not getting her number so much!!! :(
MY BABY KILAAAA!!!!!: What a qt. Kila is Pei Tong and Mei Tong's grandson but not Tong's son. i.e He's the son of another child that they had. Family lines are rather complicated here haha. Forced Kila to ride me on the motorbike on the first few days of the trip and he ended up getting whacked on the butt by Peter (our chaperon) haha I'm sorry Kila :( As Peter said, Kila would score A++ in farming but fail in his school exams HAHA the night before his exam he hadn't even started studying and some of us sat down to teach him English which was horrible.. But well, farming's more valuable in the village a skill I suppose. I don't have much footage of him which shows how enjoyable the time was with him I didn't even bother to take out my camera.. Miss rubbing your cheeks.
Don: So so adorable but so so mischievous as well. Was carrying him one day and I fell down and shocked my ankle lol zzzzz. I love to annoy Don his reactions are priceless.
There's still Tong but I'm not very close to him!! But he cooked 3 meals a day for the whole team which is really a great feat so I'm thankful to him for that.
We were the first OCIP team that the family had ever hosted, probably because there was more than one hall in the village at that time? But I couldn't have asked for a better family to stay with and I hope they had an equally memorable time as well. See you guys in December maybe <3 p="">3>
